VDM recently said something to Chike that has set social media on fire

“If you off another man’s wife pant, you are cursed for life.”

He went further to say that once fame and popularity come, temptation follows, but self-control is important. He even advised that Chike goes for cleansing.

This statement came after popular TV presenter Frank Edoho accused popular musician Chike of having a relationship with his wife, Sandra.

While Chike has not publicly admitted or denied the allegation, Sandra herself reportedly responded online in a way many people interpreted as confirming the relationship, while also describing Frank Edoho as a womanizer.

Now beyond the social media drama, let’s look at the LEGAL side many people are asking about.

Can Frank Edoho sue Chike for sleeping with his wife?

Under the Criminal Code which applies in Southern Nigeria, adultery itself is NOT a crime.
That means in the South, a man cannot be arrested or jailed simply because he allegedly had a relationship with another man’s wife. Even if caught on your matrimonial bed.

So legally speaking, Frank Edoho cannot successfully ask the police to arrest Chike for “sleeping with his wife.”
The matter is seen more as a marital issue than a criminal offence.

However, in some Northern states operating under Sharia-based laws, adultery can carry legal consequences depending on the circumstances and the religion of those involved.
But in this particular situation, both parties are from the South and would generally fall under the Criminal Code system where adultery is not treated as a criminal offence.

The strongest legal option available in a situation like this is usually DIVORCE, not arrest.

Some things may be morally wrong, emotionally damaging, or socially controversial, yet still not amount to a crime under the law.

But here is the deeper question
Do you agree with VDM that touching another man’s wife brings a lifelong curse, or do you think that statement is just emotional outrage and not reality?
