LEADERSHIP Thought | Engr Nduwisi Uba

Good morning friends, I bring you my LEADERSHIP thoughts for today, take time to read through it.

Our true CHARACTER is not exposed in Church but in the work place, at school, at home, etc.

This is a fact because in Church we have an atmosphere of what I call STANDARD TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE. This atmosphere doesn't reveal our true CHARACTER. That is why a lot of people PRETEND in Church to the extent that Church leaders get it wrong and appoint them as Pastors, Deacons, departmental leaders etc. No wonder they later regret it with  time when they begin to hear stories about this people at their work places, homes, schools etc. 1 Timothy 3 has a lot to say about this.

Our true CHARACTER comes out when the temperature and pressure around us goes beyond the normal which rarely happens in Church. This is because most people in Church put up an act of holiness. At the work place, school and at home, we face a lot of REAL LIFE pressures ranging from finance, family, work, academic, relationship etc that we can't PRETEND about.

We are TESTED on daily basis and our REACTIONS are sometimes way out of this world to the surprise of people who know us in Church. This is the main reason why some people LIVE TWO LIVES i.e HAVING DUAL IDENTITIES, one in Church and outside of Church.

If you really want to know the true CHARACTER of anyone, tip toe to his place of work, home, school etc without his or her knowledge and do your findings. You will be amazed at your findings. You will discover you underestimated how good or bad the person is. For us Married people, it is our wives or husbands if they can be sincere, who can really tell who we really are, not the one projected in Church.

I will never forget a story that happened in a Church I was worshipping in many years ago, there was this woman who was very well respected in Church and held in very high esteem. Her husband doesn't worship in our Church, he dropped her in Church and my innocent self went to the man to appreciate him for what a lovely wonderful wife he has, the man frowned seriously at me and said "this one" and sighed driving away. I was stunned to say the least.

So before you conclude on anyone you see in Church, his/her testimony at work, home, school, associations he belongs to, are very IMPORTANT.

In conclusion, the word integrity means ONE. No wonder characters are numbers, they are the same everywhere. They don't change. Let us DEVELOP ourselves  to the extent that each time pressures come at home, place of work, school  etc our responses will be CONSISTENT with the Word of God.

The most important testimony you can have is to be a person of INTEGRITY, MATURED and the source still and will remain the WORD of GOD. Read it, study it, meditate on it, pray it and declare it. God bless you.
