Apostle JD Kosita-Madu is a Porthacourt based preacher and teacher who with the so much desire for the gospel have not relaxed to ministry alone as an occupation but a call to server below is the advice he has for fellow Pastors and younger ones coming up
“Dear young Pastor
Here's a heartfelt counsel. DEVELOP A SKILL/DO A BUSINESS.
It will come in handy sometimes that you have a handiwork. Ministry requires money and many times you will have to personally finance the beginning of things first, before others believe in a vision or project.
it is important that your congregation know that you are not just depending on their tithes and offerings to survive.
Don't get me wrong, you are entitled to it but even Paul hinted at dignity of Labour.
1Cor. 4:12 And labour, working with our own hands: ....
2 Thessalonians 3:8 (NIV)
"nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you."
As for me, I write, I paint, I bake, I train...
Check out the two cakes I helped my wife cover this past weekend. ππ
Ehen, those of you (my Fb friends) that want cakes handled with anointed hands, inbox me.....
By the way, we bake bread tooπππ
