Nigerian Breweries had 2,282 individuals working for the brewery giant as of 31 December, and this is how much they earned.
Only two staff members of the brewery giant earn less than N1 million a year in the Nigerian breweries.
428 of them earn above N30 million a year.
523 of them earn between N9-10 million a year.
540 of them earn between N10-15 million a year.
391 of them earn between N15-20 million a year.
The brewery company has bounced back from the financial setback and financial looses it had two years ago due to naira depreciation.
Last year, it made N4 billion every day selling beer across the country and international countries where they export their products.
Nigerian Breweries made a revenue of N1.4 trillion from Nigeria and N2.4 billion from exporting their products abroad last year.
Nigeria accounted for 99% of their revenue.
Here are two interesting facts about this brewery company from the audited result i just read.
1) Nigerian Breweries' biggest market is the south-east of Nigeria, which shows that they sold more beer in Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, and Imo than any other place in Nigeria.
2) Even with the record-breaking revenue of N1.4 trillion made from revenue last year, the company recorded less volume in sales as they sold less beer than they did let’s say 11 years ago.
The record-breaking revenue they had was not because of sales rather pricing.
The company increased the price of their beer products across the board 2 years ago.
The reason why fewer people are drinking less beer than before is because of inflation and costs. .
Data shows Gen Z in Nigeria drinks less beer than older generations like the millennial generation; rather, Gen Z takes more of weed like Canadian loud and then cheaper options like energy drinks and bitters.
