During one of my book review session, we spoke about service and how service can give you access to opportunities.
Yeah, we've all heard that a lot of times. Service, Service, Service!!!
The truth is when people come to understand the principles of service, they would experience exponential growth in all areas of their lives.
Now back to my story, during the course of the review, someone asked a question; The service thing! Where do we draw the line between being used and service
Truth is, when some people see someone who is truly committed to service, they begin to use them for their own personal agenda.
This is sad because a lot of people who want to genuinely serve get discouraged.
Now, this brings me to my answer.
In your place of service, KNOW WHEN TO MOVE.
When you begin to notice these things, it's probably time to MOVE.
As an avid reader, I recently started a book called The Go-Giver by "Bob Burg and John David Mann".
One area that caught my attention was when the writer said: "In life, you don’t always get what you want but you get what you expect, he also said what you focus on is what you get".
This basically means that if you expect trouble, you will find trouble, if you expect conflict, you will find conflict.
This is because when our minds are fixated on what we expect and we tend to lose sight of every other thing in front of us or around us because we are expecting one thing.
If you start a business and you are always thinking about how it is not going to work out, when a good deal comes your way, all you can think about are the many reasons why that deal won't pull through and forget about the many reasons why it would.
So my question is, What have you been focusing on? Where does your focus lie?
In all aspect of your life, what are your expectations? Have you chosen to just look at the negative sides of things neglecting the positive sides?
I want you to ponder on these questions because they will help with your reflection journey and perhaps give you answers to some things.

You may ask how do you know when it's time to move.
- Move when you know that there's nothing new to learn
- Move when you are not getting value for your time there.
- Move when you know your peace of mind and mental health is threatened because no one can be productive in a toxic environment.
When you begin to notice these things, it's probably time to MOVE.
